We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School Carnes Hill encourages and actively supports a positive, supportive partnership between home and school. The involvement of parents within the school is highly valued.
Parents are invited to help at the school as classroom helpers, working bees, excursion support, carnival volunteers and special school events. Our Advisory Parent Group, Finance and Enrolment Committees support the functioning of and fundraising for our school.
Parents are communicated with in a variety of ways. These include parent-teacher meetings, informal phone calls, Compass, assemblies, newsletters, emails, social media and events. The student diary provides a simple way for home-school communication.
